I was surprised. So is the entire US. But once the excitement dies down, people will sit and take decision based on their own judgement. Whether She will pass the test and bring in votes or she will become a liability is to be watched.
If you look at her past records, She has done quite nicely. She still holds 90% of support of the people who elected her. She has fought with the mighty and she is quite a conservative. But the other side is … She is from a state far away. Had no much exposure in International politics. Due to this selection, McCain has already lost the experience ticket to play against Obama. This may come us a boon for Obama. And may end up a mere Gimmick on the part of McCain.
But if She makes an impression with her tact she may sway away some of the Hilton supporters which may be one of the objectives of McCain.
My personal opinion? Intially I felt, McCain, had made a bad selection. But after the fiery speech of Sarah Palin, it is just the antidote McCain needed for the resurrection. But the momentum can be carried forward? Days to come will give the answer!
My choice? No comments.
